About One Pacific Trust, an independent trustee

One Pacific Trust is an independent trustee in Hong Kong. We hold and administer trusts, and we do not manage the investments, sell investment products or advise on them. We work alongside your lawyers and accountants and keep the record of every decision. Meet the team or contact us to start.

About One Pacific Trust

An independent trustee, not a bank

A bank trust department sits inside a bank that also sells accounts, loans and investment products. Here, independent means something narrow and checkable: we are a trustee and nothing else, so we have no product to place and no portfolio to defend.

Investment decisions stay with you or the person the deed names, and your bank or manager runs the assets. We hold the title, check each instruction and keep the record.

How we work with your bank and advisers

Why families and advisers choose One Pacific Trust

  • Clarity

Plain-language steps, a published set-up fee up front and documents you can follow.

  • One team

One trustee team in Hong Kong is your point of contact from set-up to ongoing administration.

  • Your advisers stay in the loop

With your consent, your lawyers and accountants can follow the case and see the documents they need.

  • A record of every decision

Each instruction, consent and payment is checked against the deed and logged with the clause that allowed it.

Working together

How we work with you and your advisers

With your consent, your lawyers, accountants and private bank see the documents they need. They review the deed before it is signed and tell us what they need to run the assets.

  1. A first conversation

We listen to your goals and explain the options in plain language.

  2. A quote

You see the published set-up fee for the place and the scope it covers. Annual work is quoted after we review your case.

  3. Onboarding

We ask only for the documents each step needs and say why.

  4. Ongoing administration

A named contact keeps you informed and answers your questions.

Governance

Our people and how decisions are made

Our trust officers work from Hong Kong, and a named contact stays with your trust. Every instruction, consent and payment is checked against the deed and the law before we act, and the record of the decision is kept with the clause that allowed it.

See the roles on the team page

The team page lists the roles that look after a trust, and who you deal with at each step.

Offices

Where we operate

Our head office is in Hong Kong: Unit 1411, 14/F, Cosco Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

We also have contact offices in Singapore, Vietnam and the United States. Trusts are set up in the jurisdictions listed on our jurisdictions pages, directly or with a local partner who takes a defined role in the trust.

Your documents set out that role before you sign.

Our role

Lines we do not cross

Your own advisers give legal, tax and investment advice. Our job is to administer the trust under its deed.

See our six services

  1. We never choose the investments; the person the deed names does.

  2. We never promise a legal or tax result, only to follow the deed.

  3. We never act on an instruction the deed or the law does not allow.

Stay safe

How to spot someone pretending to be us

People pretending to be us may contact you. Use these checks before you act on a message.

Report a suspicious message

  1. Check that the sender and every link use our official domain, onepacifictrust.com.

  2. We never ask you to send payment to a personal account.

  3. Confirm the request by signing in to the client portal yourself, not through a link in the message.

FAQ

Questions about how we work

What is an independent trustee?

It is a trustee with no stake in what the trust holds: no bank behind it, no product shelf and no commission from managers. You can test that: ask whether the trustee sells, earns commission on or recommends any product held in the trust. We sell no products and take no commission, so our answer is no.

Do you manage investments?

No. Where the deed allows a licensed manager, the manager decides the investments under a written mandate and a custodian bank holds the assets. The manager sends us statements and the mandate, and we keep both in the trust record so that every holding can be traced.
